Teknor Apex expands its medical-grade thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) portfolio with new grades specifically designed for biopharmaceutical tubing applications.

Teknor Apex’s new medical-grade TPEs grades are suitable for medical tubing.

 

Medical device manufacturers choose TPEs for applications that require flexibility or rubber-like elasticity which the high quality, regulatory-compliant Medalist TPEs from Teknor Apex can fulfil.

 

The new Medalist TPEs grades feature enhanced clarity with improved transparency for visual inspection of fluid flow and potential particle contamination.

 

The new medical grades also offer reduced spallation that minimizes material loss and contamination risks during extended pump operation, as well as extended pump life which increases durability and longevity of tubing, reducing maintenance requirements and downtime.

 

These advanced materials are ideal for a wide range of biopharmaceutical applications including single-use systems, bioreactors, filtration systems and fluid transfer lines.
